I feel this and it’s nice to know you feel this way. There’s an interesting gap between what I use the AI tools for and what I could be using it for but just don’t know what to ask. But sometimes I have to admit I may be hitting the limit of either what it can do or what I can do with it.
Thanks! Yes, the gap is real. My hunch is that a lot of it comes down to coding (which btw, automations, agents, etc are all “coding.”) As a creative person, I wonder — where does that fit in? For example, let’s say I write a boook. Can I create some kind of immersive experience where folks interact with my “book” differently? I do believe that we really need to stretch. AND at the same time, it becomes a WHY question. Why do I need to stretch my AI use? For many, it will be “so that I can make more $” It’s definitely NOT that for me — for me it’s, can I serve others, find joy, express myself creatively. Maybe that means that I will only use 60% of AI’s potential. And that’s totally fine
I like this thought process on stretching ourselves to find creative uses for AI. I’m sure in two years, some cool new mixed media has the potential to come out of this and it’d be fun to be closer to the forefront of it instead of looking back and thinking the opportunity was there but I didn’t try to think outside the box.
I appreciate this honest update. I am still trying to find an answer to what AI is doing with this very specific and personal info on one's life and business. This is more than intellectual curiosity. I am finding AI very helpful to my workflow. But as I 'feed' the LLM more complex problems to solve, I wonder where the line is on privacy and confidentiality. Or am I being naive to think there is any at all?
Thanks Joanne. I think the line on privacy is very real. First, what will these companies do with this info. Next, is it safe from breach. Personally, I have a very professional relationship with AI. I always ask myself — how would i feel if my chats were leaked to the media? Embarassed, sure. Something that would haunt me permanently — no way!

One thing I've been exploring as a writer, is writing a graphic novel or illustrated book. I can't draw - but I can tell good stories and prompt well.
Oh, as someone who also can’t draw, this is a good idea haha
