AI is much more than a "Google Replacement"
A prominent economist warns that AI can make knowledge work obsolete
I have a man-crush on Tyler Cowen. He’s an economist, public intellectual, voracious learner and just all-around inspiring dude.
Plus, he’s a 63 year old who — in his own words — is going “all-in on AI.”
Here are 7 takeaways (from this interview with David Perell) on how you can dramatically incorporate AI into your daily workflow.

Most people underestimate how quickly AI is evolving. According to Cowen, we need to understand AI on three levels (and many people aren’t even at Level 1):
Level 1 means you’re using the most advanced tools which requires paying. It’s the only way to access the best models.
Level 2 is where you understand the exponential improvements of the models (i.e. how DeepSeek uses Reinforcement Learning).
Level 3 requires imagining an even deeper form of AI-to-AI collaboration that creates entirely new marketplaces.
